Alright all you hep cats and those whose baby has done them wrong, time to get your groove on or your blues crying and hit some of Bangkok's Best Jazz and Blues Clubs. Bangkok has a fine variety of upscale and trendy or down and dirty places to catch some live jazz or blues. Choose from the list of great Bangkok music venues for starters.
Saxophone is a blast. The two-level club has a blues jam on Saturdays and is a venue to see Thai jazz great Koh Mr. Saxman. Sit right at the edge of the performance space. Brown Sugar also has that sense of intimacy with the musicians. Pop in here for the house band or special guests. Niu's on Silom is not your shorts and sandals sort of place, so consider this for a date night with wine. Places like Adhere the 13th, Witch's Tavern or Overtone Music Cave all tend to be quite lively and more casual. For a nice balance between class and casual comfort stop in at Iron Fairies or its sister property Fat Gut'z. The Living Room and Diplomat offer that sort of relaxed fancy hotel lounge atmosphere.
