- Bangkok has a thriving music scene from young Thai bands to jamming expats, from rock, blues and jazz to acoustic love songs and thumping club mixes. Bossa nova, Filipino hotel bands, even street musicians with traditional Thai instruments. Finding a place to get your groove on in the evening then isn't difficult. Jazz has a dedicated following and the clubs tend to be a bit pricier or have dress codes. An exception is the laid back Brown Sugar. Young Thai bands rock out in RCA at Route 66 and Parking Toys. Some of the house bands in town draw quite a following as well, such as the bands at Saxophone Pub, Ad Makers, and Adhere the 13th.
