Bangkok has a wide range of accommodations. Sure the city is known for its backpacker traffic, but it is also filled with stunning spoil-yourself level luxury, as well as everything in between. But sometimes location is your most important feature. If you are looking to stay in the heart of the city, then these are the Top Ten hotels in downtown Bangkok.
The list is in no particular order -- that's up to you to decide what's best for you. If you are aiming for something modern and luxurious, the two newest properties right on top of the big shopping complexes are the Siam Kempinski and Centara Grand. Those with a bit more years of experience and respect in this market are the Four Seasons and Grand Hyatt Erawan. OK, so maybe that's a bit too much for your wallet.
A great low budget stay awaits at Wendy Guesthouse or Lub D Siam Square, right under the National Stadium Skytrain station. Truly backpacker can be found at Sukhumvit Soi 1 Hostel, while those of you looking for some middle ground might be better off at Reno Hotel, Novotel or even the Landmark on a good internet offer.
