Bangkok is a city for lovers and though typically we think of restaurants, drinks and soft music, there are many other activities that put couples in the mood. Cruise the Chao Phraya River in evening, take a night's stroll through a street full of flowers at Pak Khlong Talat, or book yourselves for a couples massage -- whatever puts you in the mood Bangkok can provide it. Take a private tour out to a floating market, one of the classic Bangkok experiences of life when much of the city was canals and water more than concrete and traffic. In the same vein, find some shade at Benjasiri Park.
Another sweet spot is Wat Pathumwanaram, an often overlooked temple right under the noses of the big malls downtown. The Thai have their own version of massage and are very much into reflexology or foot massage. Try it with your special someone. Choose from a number of great spas with budgets ranging from "special occasion" such as the award-winning Devarana to "budget" such as the quiet and classy Pimmalai. Or find one in between at Divana. It's a sensual experience; what could be more romantic? Maybe a sunset over Wat Arun down by the river.
