NileGuide Expert Says:
Though slightly more than a hostel price, this is still quite reasonable, especially for two people. The location is primo for shoppers but also for quick access to the rest of the city via the SkyTrain. Staff members are friendly and accommodating.

Generally in this part of Bangkok one expects to only find big hotels and the prices that come with them. So Wendy House is a treat just a short walk from National Stadium's BTS SkyTrain station as well as Siam Square, Siam Paragon and MBK shopping malls. Wireless internet is complimentary. All rooms are nonsmoking and offer air-conditioning. Of the 38 rooms at Wendy House, 29 have double beds, 7 offer two twins, and 2 have single twin beds. Rooms are plain but clean and include private baths with hot water, refrigerators with free daily mineral water, flat-screen TVs with cable and several English channels, direct dial phones, an electric teakettle and a hair dryer. Be aware that the building has four stories but no lift. The breakfast buffet goes Western with breads, eggs, cereal, yogurt and some fresh coffee. The computer in the lobby has a webcam and there are some books to browse and often fellow travelers to chat with. You can make your reservation with a credit card online but when you arrive it is payment by cash only.
