- A large English pub in the heart of Silom, the Duke of Wellington has an outside balcony up front for people-watching on Silom. There's dark wood flooring and furniture and a big-screen television for sports. The bar staff, wearing waistcoats and long aprons, are attentive. The pub has a large menu with many traditional pub favorites such as bangers and mash, chili, steaks, fish and chips, steak and ale pies, plus Thai food, all-day breakfasts, monthly specials and weekend roasts. Generous happy hours are from 4p-8p weekdays and noon-8p on weekends, with various special offers. Beers on draft include Heineken, Tiger, Guinness, Tetleys and Paulener Weissbeir.
