Hemlock - Bangkok
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Tea lovers will enjoy the wide selection of teas on display in the restaurant. The leaves come from all over the world, including Japan and Australia.

  • Description:

    • One of the original restaurants to popularize the Phra Arthit strip, Hemlock is run by a group of former students from nearby Thammasat University. This arty Thai restaurant has adopted a simple, yet traditional feel with intimate seating downstairs, and a group setting upstairs. It attracts lots of Thai students and a small number of travelers, mostly backpackers from nearby Khao San Road. Dishes are mostly standard Thai and are reasonably priced. This is a great place to try the local specialty of Tom Yam Kung. A small Heineken won't hurt your pocket too much. Call for more details.
