• If Los Cabos looks more like a colonial-style house, that's because it was once the home of the French ambassador. A fresh coat of bright colored paints puts a Mexican twist on it. Though the atmosphere is casual, the food is a step up from the typical taqueria and among the usual taco and burritos fare are steaks and seafood and even lobster for specials. Unexpected but gladly welcomed on the menu are the mesquite-smoked ribs; even a half rack is plenty and plenty delicious. Definitely a contender for best ribs in Bangkok. Dining is either al fresco on the patios or upper-floor terrace or indoors with the comfort of air-conditioning. There is a full bar featuring over a dozen tequilas and you can find Corona beer among the regional brews. The mango margarita is made with fresh Thai mangos of course. Los Cabos is just a short stumble down this soi (which many websites list mistakenly as Soi 16) from the Asoke BTS SkyTrain station (Exit 4) and sits right across road from Suda Restaurant. Sukhumvit MTS Subway station is also convenient. On-site parking available.
