• Bangkok, one of the hubs in South East Asia, is well worth a visit for the food alone. The Sukhumvit area is buzzing with street stalls selling all kinds of goodies ranging from pad thai to soup to deep-fried insects. But if you want a comfortable sit-down experience as you enjoy your Thai food, Rosabeing is a good option. Their food is a solid notch above the insipid tourist Thai fare. There's a nice interior plus great garden seating with lots of space for big groups. A good lunch with a cold beer hits the spot on those hot and humid Bangkok days.
