• Duck in here for a quick change from Bangkok heat and chaos to a cool and soothing little cafe. The pedestrian bridge connecting Gaysorn Plaza to the Chit Lom Skytrain station leads to an escalator up into the shopping complex. Right there at the bottom of the steps is Thann Cafe which showcases (or is it smellcases??) the products of the affiliated Thann Sanctuary Spa on the 3rd floor. The menu offers a variety of appealing appetizers, healthy salads, sandwiches, and a number of pasta dishes. Some of the items fuse Thai flavors with other cuisines. Teas are abundant as are frappes and other blended drinks, but a few espresso-based drinks are also on the menu. WiFi is free and the hum of the air-conditioning creates a likeable white noise that absorbs nearby conversations and blocks out Bangkok outside.
