Bangkok Butterfly Garden & Insectarium

• The Butterfly Garden is situated in the southeast part of Wachirabenchatat Park only a short distance from Chatuchak's huge weekend market. It resembles a large greenhouse in which many species of butterflies fly free. Butterfly friendly foliage is planted inside, and a path winds its way around on several levels. There are signs and pictures of the different butterflies, but most of the information is in Thai, so take some English identification materials if you are interested. There are some huge butterflies, about the size of a hand, and many brightly colored varieties too. The garden is not huge, but it is free, well maintained and a pleasant attraction in this area. -AH
