• Mah Boon Krong Center, best known as MBK, is a total bargain shopper paradise. The multi-floor mall with a central atrium is packed to the gills with shops offering deep discounts on clothing, shoes, photo equipment, leather goods, cosmetics, gifts and CDs/DVDs. Be aware that a lot of knock-offs are sold here and pirated software which, especially for Australians apparently, can result in problems at baggage checks and immigration. This may not be as cheap as Chatuchak Weekend Market or Suan Lum Night Bazaar, but the quality is better and the air-conditioning and roomier environs don't hurt either.
