Royal City Avenue (RCA)

Description:

• Royal City Avenue or RCA in its short form, is probably the biggest entertainment area in Bangkok, although it is not widely known to tourists. A long road, just off Rama IX, with little traffic, it is home to a number of bars, nightclubs, restaurants, a Tops supermarket, Starbucks, a UMG cinema, a golf driving range and Easy Karting indoor go-kart track. The clubs blast out a variety of music: R&B, American or Thai pop, trance, hip hop, disco or house. Some of the clubs are frequented mainly, although not exclusively by Thai students. Two of the biggest are 808 and Route 66. Easiest access to RCA is by taxi from the nearest skytrain or MRT station. -AH
