Wat Chana Songkram

  • User Review:

    • An old temple that was renovated 250years ago by King Rama I's younger brother 'Krom Phra Rajwangboworn Maha Surasinghanart' who, at that time, must often lead the army to defend Thailand from her enemies. He renovated this temple to commemorate his continuous victory over the Burmese. He has given the name 'Chana Songkram' which means 'winning the war' to this temple and the name is interpreted by worshipers to signify good luck and winning over all obstacles to those who come to pay homage to the Prince statue and Lord Buddha statue inside the main chamber.
