Wat Chana Songkram

Description:

  • Many Thai go to specific temples or shrines for specific problems or wishes when they pray. In the case of Wat Chanasongkram they come to pray to overcome difficult challenges in life. The name comes from King Rama I. The architecture is slightly unusual and the temple itself is just a short walk from Khao San Road so sees a lot of backpacker traffic. This temple is one of "Nine Sacred Places" often celebrated during the Songkran Festival.
