Public Question Asked by Kevin about Bangkok
Anyone know a good place for authentic mid-priced thai food in the Ploenchit/Nana area (or a bit further is ok too)?
Something a little nicer than just street stalls, but not super fancy. I've been to Thailand a number of times, so no need for the touristy show. Also maybe looking for a dining partner too. Will be in BKK from Sat - Thurs late night.

Suggest you take the skytrain to SIAM, change to SILOM line and get out at the river - SAPHAN TAKSIN - take a ferry across the river, walk up to the main road, turn left until you have the bridge above you. Behind it turn left into a parking lot. There is a guard box. Ask there for YOK YOR restaurant, which is on the river side. It serves good Thai food and you may enjoy the river view while dining. The restaurant is not very fancy and is medium price ranged. There may be a shuttle boat to the restaurant from the left pier, when you arrive by skytrain.

I suggest you take a short walk from your hotel if its in that area and Iam sure you will see something that suits your taste.
