Hello
Cheap deals at MBK the biggest copy and cheap shopping complex in Bangkok. Just don't expect to find big sizes for western women there. Asian folk generally have smaller sized feet, than their western conterparts.
Happy shopping.

Welcome. You can buy everywhere you like on the street. Sure MBK is the biggest hall. Make sure you do bargin the price, if you think it is over-price just go another shop. There are lots of selections for you. You don't have to rush

Hi...
Like sayd already MBK, but also Baiyok tower (not fare away from MBK). Also a place with super good deals. Cheaper than MBK. There is also Chachuchak market - open every weekend. Its big and warm but this is the place to buy very cheap things....

Hello, At firstly, Mr Graham, Please don't said that MBK has a biggest copy complex. It's not very true. It made by thai people and made by their brands and also Thai famous brands. Yes, there are some copies but not much. May I advise you can buy at MBK also and if you have a chance to pass through to china town (I'm highly recommended to shop at the night time). There are a lot of shoes and accessories which also have a second hand items.

PRATUNAM w/sale market is the cheapest place to buy garments, shoes and accessories. their are thousands of factory outlets there , and U usually have to buy 6 or more to get the w/sale price, but even if U buy 1 item it is cheaper than MBK, which is a retail shopping mall, not cheap at all.

You may go to Pratunam Bazaar, closed to Central World. It's a big market both inside building and street walk. Cheap in dozens.

I recommend Chatuchak weekend market, MBK and Platinum Mall too ^^ hope you enjoy your shopping. beware about the price and beware your pocket if you go shopping on weekend cuz there would have lots of people.
Answered by Wilfried Giessler , Bangkok, Thailand
Any of the aforementioned places is good, however look for specially set up sales booths (mostly on the ground floor) of the main malls (MBK etc), which offer usually up to 70% discount on list prices.

1. MBK but abit expensive , you can bargen the price
2. JJ Market , but Thai people call Chatuchuk market , its open only weekend
3.Water Gate , Thai people call Pratunum . It has 1 more shopping mall opposite call Platinum
4.Sumpeng is cheap market but not alot of shoes
5.Saunlum Night bazar is a night market
otherwise you can find cheap and nice in some shpping mall like Central etc. becoz its good quality and its cheaper than your country anyway
Answered by Jim Clarke , Bangkok Metropolis, Thailand
I'd say go to Pratunam.
MBK is the easiest to get to as its at a skytrain stop. Chatuchak is worth seeing, but quite hot and hard work. There is a skytrain stop quite near to it so it's a lot easier to get to these days. Jim.

Good morning!
Where to buy cheap shoes. Well.. there are many areas where you can buy nice & cheap shoes in Bangkok.
Please see below the information :-
Platinum Fashion Mall : http://www.platinumfashionmall.com/ . This place is nice but the most expensive compared to other areas (but it might be cheaper compared to other countries in Europe)
Chatuchak Market (recommended) http://www.bangkok.com/chatuchak/index.html#chatuchak:-shopping . Things are quite cheap here and Thai people normally will go there to buy their own stuff. You probably have to spend half day to walk through the market. Nice stuff though… (a few hours is not enough!!)
Pratunam Shopping Mall : http://www.bangkok.com/pratunam/shopping.html . This place you probably have to buy many items to get a big discount.
Hope this shopping information is useful for you. If you have any question or need help please feel free to let me know.

Hi,
As the others recommended MBK is a nice place to go for but I'd like to add Platinum Fashion Mall for further option. It's on the opposite side of Biyoke Tower in the Pratuman area. There, you can find a lot of fashion stuffs. :)

Not knowing you're a gal or guy, basically Thailand is not a
place to buy (Fashion-/Brand-) shoes. If and when, they are
more expensive than elsewhere. But on the cheap scale you'll
find anything you'd like.
