Hello
For the hotel, look at tripadvisor.com or atsiam.com. They have good recomendations for all budget to high end hotels.
Going to Cambodia by bus, you will see more of the country side, but it is a long journey. Plane is better and quicker if your time is limited here.
Your hotel may also be able to refer you to a recognised travel agent who could do the arrangements for you.
Please use only TAT registered agents to avoid being ripped off.
Have a wonderfull experience here.

About your personal hotel choice, pls browse the internet-sites. www.all-thailand.com or many others.
Cambodia ... where to go? Pnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Angkor Wat ...? 4 days is "short". Traveling with 6 people, best would be a VAN w/driver, so you can make your own schedule.
Any 4* hotel/reception will be pleased to make you suggestions; and check/compare all good quotes from fellow
Localytes. Enjoy your time in SE-Asia.

Now, with the transfer from bkk - cambodia, definitely you can travel by bus..Travel agencies has daily day trips to cambodia for the tourists who extends their visas and tourists wants to have holiday in cambodia... I'll find a reliable travel agency and I'll get back to you.. ok?

I would recomend flight straight to Anchor Watt (Siam Reep). The roads are VERY bad in Cambodia and bay a return ticket since air ticketes are a lot cheaper from Thailand.
From Siam Reep you can do daily excusions or just relax and explore the ruins of Anchor Watt.

I have done the following tour several times and still like it very much: Fly Bkk to Phnom Penh (visa on arrival possible), stay one/two nights (check www.sammy_lotus@hotmail.com for accom.), then proceed by boat across Tonle Sap to Siemreab/Ankhor Wat, stay another one/two nights there. Then go by road (shared pick-ups) via Sisophon to Poi Phet/border (attention: road is very, very bad, but may have been improved in the meantime, takes about 7 hours, if still bad), cross to Aranya Phratet and take bus or train back to Bkk. Train is much slower, but nicer. Flying from Siemreab to Bkk is the alternative (Bkk Airways only, is quite expensive). Organizing the tour by yourself is very easy. There is AirAsia office at Banglamphu (near Khao Sarn Rd). Hotel /Guesthouse in Phom Penh will organize boat tickets for you, and guesthouses in Siemreab will help you get seats for you on pickups. As soon as you have crossed into Thailand again take song taeow (pickup) or tuk-tuk to train or bus station. If you take train, check departure times before. I guess there is only one or two trains daily to Bkk.
Enjoy a great trip!

For your preferred 4* hotels, have u studied some areas of Bkk? Such as Sukumvit & Silom, this will be good at night coz you can walk around for night market, nightlife. Sofitel, Grand Pacific Silom is a good choice. Sheraton Grande Sukumvit is also on Sukumvit rd. You may visit hotelsthailand.com for rate & booking.

For Cambodia, if you just want to visit Angkor so it's good for 4days trip to just fly to Seam Reap. Bangkok Airways is boutique airline fly many times a day. Check bangkokair.com now there is a good deals for packs of tickets.
If you prefer to visit Phnom Pehn, the capital as well. There is domestic flight you can book when you arrive Seam Reap. Ticket is around 75-100US$.
If you want to see landscape and try some bumpy road from Thailand border to Seam Reap (the way to Angkor). You may book when you arrive BKK at travel desk, or many operattors arrange this on Kaosarn Road. But it takes you 10hrs from BKK-Seam Reap.

It is nice that you would like to travel in Cambodia. Going by bus with a driver is good, you can spend time for a sight along way. By plane is also good, you save time. Have a happy day.

Hi, I recommend the Swissotel 4 star luxury hotel right in the heart of Bangkok located on Ratchadapisek Road. For Cambodia you need to decide whether you want to see Angkor Wat temples, Phnom Penh capital city or Sihanookville beach resort. I also recommend Air Asia to fly from Bangkok to Phnom Penh. Have a great trip and let me know if you want me to show you party places in Bangkok.
