• Established in 1993 and set on 5 hectares (12 acres) of green hillside, Monte Selva boasts lush gardens and comfortable accommodations in pretty, rustic wooden cabins at the foot of the mountain. Spa facilities are offered here, including mud baths, steam baths, and massages. They even have their own natural hot pools, fed by springs heated near Tungurahua. For those with a sweet tooth, the on-site chocolatería is an absolute must. If adventure is more your thing, try one of the many tour and activity options. And if you need to release some pent-up aggression, let loose on the lodge's very own paintball ground. The Monte Selva group also runs the small zoo, Zoohogar, and Monte Selva Ecopark in Puyo, with daily excursions there. Monte Selva is just 7 blocks away from the bus terminal and within easy walking distance of the town center.
