Description:

  • The Acadia Hotel is nicely situated overlooking Bar Harbor's village green, easily accessible to in-town activities and the free shuttles dispersing to elsewhere on the island. All things considered, it's an amazing value (prices have actually gone down in the last couple of years). A handsome, simple home dating from the late 19th century, it has a wraparound porch and guest rooms decorated in nice floral motifs. Rooms vary widely in size and amenities. Some units have whirlpool tubs, phones, and/or king beds; one has a kitchenette, and about half have small refrigerators. It's a simple place, but quite clean and well run.
