The Village Inn Restaurant is located in the charming, rustic Belgrade Lakes Village Inn, located in Belgrade Lakes which is about 20 minutes north of Augusta. This quaint eatery offers a classic Maine dockside dining experience. Diners can relax and enjoy their meal while taking in the serene view of boats quietly sailing the waters of Belgrade Lake. Aside from the scenery, this restaurant specializes in the exquisite preparation of duck utilizing a number of global recipes and cooking methods. For those who are fans of this water fowl, the Village Inn doesn't disappoint. Other menu highlights do justice to all of the Maine favorites including haddock, clams, grilled trout and, of course, lobster. The "turf" portion of the menu is also worth sampling including crowd pleasers such as Montreal Sirloin and Beef Kabobs. Service is attentive and prices, while higher than average for the area, are reasonable. The Village Inn Restaurant, like the inn itself, is open seasonally and usually opens its doors in April. Definitely don't miss the duck but also try everything else this choice restaurant has to offer.
