- This chain is one of those of the Basque tapa art found around town. It is quite small, but you can sit at the bar or at one of the few tables with stools. First order a drink, get a plate and then start deciding which Pintxos (Basque tapas) and Montaditos (small slices of bread with tapas on top) to start with: croquettes, shrimp, cooked pork sausages, omelettes, etc, each one stuck on a toothpick. There are lots of different things to taste. When you go to pay the bill, the number of toothpicks on your plate will determine your total bill. Usually packed, this place is full of vitality, as is the clientèle.
