  • It's never hard to find cool things to do in Barcelona. If you're just taking a stroll on Rambla Catalunya or Paseig de Gracia, the city's full of beautiful buildings, trendy bars and exciting places to explore. Even if you've been living here for some time, the windy streets and narrow alleyways make it easy to get lost and stumble upon a new, undiscovered gem. Our number three pick for cool things to do in Barcelona, is the Picasso Museum. If you're not into art, yet feel like you 'should' or want to add a bit of culture to your visit, this museum is a wonderful experience. It contains a large variety of Picasso's work ranging from his Blue Period to Cubism and into his Surrealism stage. It's in the center of the Born, right downtown, so it's easy to access and is something fun to do on any afternoon. Parc Guell stands as our number one pick, for although it's very touristy, it's a great way to spend a sunny afternoon, especially if you have yet to see it. The park is home to Gaudi's house as well as the longest bench in the world, but if you don't feel like doing the typical touristy things while you're there, just spend a few hours on the grass, reading or listening to music. Its spectacular views of the city make it a great place to relax and take in the scenery. Our number nine pick, is a cool activity, both on a visual as well as an entertaining level. Palau De La Musica is a modernist masterpiece centered in the Borne. You can either plan to see a concert at this venue, or just walk inside to stare at how exquisite it truly is.
