Although at times slow to jump on the 'American style' bandwagon, Barcelona has stepped it up with regards to its selection of American Restaurants. There is now a much wider variety of places to grab a greasy burger, over sized salad or super sized coffee.
Our number one pick is hard to ignore. Smack in the center of Plaza Catalunya, Barcelona's top American style restaurant is hands down, Hard Rock Cafe. Everything from the Colgate smiley service, to the large portions and long menu, will make any American searching for a bit of comfort, feel right at home.
Heading down into the old city, our number four pick is an excellent choice, especially if you're craving an American style breakfast. Milk Bar and Bistro, is run by an Irish couple who knows how to cater to the palates of those searching for a tasty American, greasy spoon breakfast, with eggs, hash-browns and bacon amongst a variety of other options. The portions are perfectly sized and not only do they serve breakfast but they have a stellar lunch and dinner menu as well. They also offer cheap happy hour cocktails everyday from 5-7pm!
Our number ten pick is a nice mix between American and Italian style food. Centered in the Raval on the end of Rambla de Raval, La Veronica's pizzas rival some of the best in the city, while its salads are large, filling and very 'American esq' in style and taste. This is a nice family night out or a great option for a group of friends looking for a relaxed, fun and tasty restaurant.
