Barcelona has a wide variety of Asian restaurants throughout the city and in particular a large number of excellent and very affordable Thai places. Whether you're in the Old City and looking for a restaurant in the Gotico, Born or Raval neighborhoods, or feel like trekking up to the Eixample for a 'classier' Thai meal, there are delicious choices all around the city.
Our number three pick is nestled in the Gothic Quarter and is an ideal choice if you're looking for cheap, fresh and delicious Thai food. Arc Cafe is a small restaurant, with a few candlelit wooden tables. They serve a variety of Thai as well as other authentic Asian and Middle Eastern dishes. The restaurant also has free wifi, which is hard to find in Barcelona. Head towards the beach and our number five pick is an excellent place to kick off the evening with a delicious dinner, before leading into drinks and dancing.
One of Barcelona's more well known, beach side clubs and restaurants, the Carpe Diem Lounge Club (CDLC) serves a mix of Thai, Asian and Spanish food in a trendy restaurant setting before turning into a club later in the evening.
If you're in the mood for Thai and a bit of Japanese as well, go into Gracia and check out Kibuka. One of the most popular locals, especially on weekends, this rustic, Asian restaurant has an open kitchen and incredibly fresh food. Go early though because after 10pm there are line ups for hours.
