Music in Barcelona

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Barcelona has one of the fastest rising music scenes in Europe, with festivals such as Primavera Sound and Sonar showcasing world renowned artists, bands and dj's. If you're looking to kick off, or even end the night with some live music in a cool bar or cafe, Barcelona's music scene has plenty to offer.

Our number one pick for the best music in Barcelona, is Apolo. This is an ideal venue, perfect for dj's, concerts and dancing until 6am, as it's a split level club, so if you don't like the music they're playing upstairs, go downstairs to switch things up. Apolo is located slightly out of the city center, in Poble Sec, which provides for a great opportunity to check out some slightly off the beaten path, yet very trendy bars and clubs.

Heading back into the city center, off of Las Ramblas in the ever so popular Plaza Reial, Jamboree feels like you're experiencing a show in an underground cave. Surrounded by brick walls and archways, the small stage provides for an intimate setting, for live jazz and small concerts. The sit down shows usually ends around midnight at which point the bar turns into a popular night club.
