If you're still not full after strolling through Barcelona's most popular market, La Boqueria, then check out a few of its delicious surrounding restaurants. Whether you want to experience what it's like to eat on La Rambla, or venture slightly off onto the side streets, there are plenty of excellent restaurant options just a quick stroll from the Boqueria market.
Our number one pick is situated directly on La Rambla. This two story restaurant has excellent views of Barcelona's most famous walkway, so you can enjoy your food while people watching. Attic has superb service and a mix of traditional Spanish as well as international food options. It's on the pricier side but so is everything on La Rambla.
If you walk down towards the water from the Boqueria and turn left onto c/Escudellers, you'll find our nuber five pick. Although La Fonda is extremely well known, it's on a an exciting, local and very busy street, which is worth the trip to the restaurant. La Fonda itself serves quality food at very affordable prices. There is always a line up outside but the service is quick so there is a fast turn over.
If you're craving a taste of North America, then our number seven pick is ideal. Located in Plaza Catalunya about a five minute walk from the Boqueria Market, Hard Rock Cafe makes you feel like you've left Barcelona, if only for a an hour or two. Smiley, friendly, 'over the top' service with American sized portions makes this an ideal pick, especially if you're in the mood for a hearty meal.
