• Set in an old Born district building that's retained its grand old stairway and lounge furnishings, this modern hotel-apartment concept (the coolest and most self-contained of the five now spread throughout the city) offers dazzling self-contained units that are anything but traditional in design and decor. Each hotel room is ravishingly colored in a different monochromatic hue, from suave gray to virgin white, and has its own small relaxing lounge area complete with fridge, microwave, and coffee-making facilities. The one- or two-bedroom apartments have fully equipped kitchens and access to a small terrace. No smoking is permitted anywhere in the hotel, except the restaurant, and some rooms are equipped for travelers with disabilities.
