  • Located on the architecturally splendid Passeig de Gràcia, this former private villa (dating to 1895), is one of Barcelona's most glamorous quality hotels. Business was so good that it opened a 74-room extension across the street (Carrer Majorca), which regrettably lacks the flair of the original. It boasts a unique neomedieval facade that shows strong Gaudí influences, and modern attractions include having supper on the roof with a live jazz band. The comfortable midsize guest rooms all contain marble bathrooms, with tub/shower combos, reproductions of Spanish paintings, and soundproof windows. The Condes continues to be one of the most popular choices in the Eixample.
