  • Description:

    • This hotel is one of Barcelona's most visible landmarks and has been since the 1920s, when it was built in this sought-after location that lies within a 10-minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya. In the early 1990s it was radically renovated and upgraded into deluxe status while retaining the dignified stateliness of the public areas, but with added color in the bedrooms. Today, each is outfitted in a different, mainly monochromatic color scheme, with carpets, artwork, and upholsteries. All units come equipped with bathrooms containing tub/shower combos. The staff is hardworking and conscientious, albeit sometimes swamped with tour buses containing dozens of clients arriving all at once. Its Drolma restaurant has a Michelin star.
