Another newcomer to the Barcelona's designer scene, the super-trendy Pulitzer is a mere stone's throw from the Plaça Catalunya. Hotels in this quarter are usually more uniform and business-y. Not so this one, with its white leather sofas, black marble trim, and lounge area with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves lined with titles like California Homes, Moroccan Interiors, and The World's Greatest Hotels. There's also a chic cocktail bar -- just the kind of place you might expect to find the Sex and the City ladies -- a smart restaurant and a pleasant, candlelit roof terrace. Bedrooms follow the inky-black and charcoal gray color scheme (some are a little on the small side) and contain sumptuous fabrics: leather, silk, and down pillows. The showy bathrooms have tub/shower combos that are generous with the toiletries.

Wonderful hotel

I can't believe that this is only a 4 star hotel! Great rooms, service, and location. We only stayed for a night but when we go back to Barcelona, we plan on staying there again.
