Set in the heart of El Raval, the Lupino is renowned for its cool catwalk-like decor and an eclectically inventive cuisine that effortless blends Mediterranean, French, Creole, and North African dishes. Typical favorites are grilled entrecôte with couscous, cod with ratatouille and coconut emulsion, and pork stuffed with goat cheese with cassava chips on the side. It's all very good and the lunchtime menu is one of the best deals around. A rear terrace overlooks the back of the Boqueria market (in reality a parking lot, but oversize parasols block out the unsightly bits). Friday and Saturday are late-night cocktail nights when a DJ makes an appearance.
