• Not very old but already a treasured Belgian outpost, La Maison Belge is a well-stocked bottle shop that balances out its remarkable beer selection with hard-to-find cheeses and chocolates. Started by two Belgian expatriates unable to forgo some of the finer things in life, La Maison has seen both its inventory and popularity grow as Barcelona's increasingly diverse population discovers the pleasures of Belgium's infamous beers. The medium-sized shop stocks an average of 200 bottles, from small-batch microbrews to Trappist and Abbey offerings, with a steady rotation and nod to the seasons. Chocolates, Cerveza and Quesos are also worth trying. An exponential success, La Maison Belge now has many other locations.
