Romería de Sant Medir

Description:

  • The neighborhood of Gràcia has been celebrating this festivity every third of March since 1830. It consists of a parade of floats and trucks decorated with flowers, coloured paper and other decorations, which go by throwing sweets to the people. This is the place to come and see the "real" people of Barcelona. The children are the stars of the day, as in most of the street parties, and since they tend to get a little over-excited, it's almost as much fun to watch them as the parade!
