For the Eixample area: Bar Mut is a great place for tapas or local food, but you need to get there early as it's small and the seats get quickly taken!
In las Ramblas: don't miss the tapas at any of the bars of the Boqueria Market (lunch only - Mon through Sat)
In Gothic Quarter: Taller de Tapas, near Santa Maria del Pi, and Quatre Gats for dinner where Picasso used to hang out.
In Born: Xampanyet for tapas, and Santa Maria for casual dinner.
In Barceloneta: Can Solé for the best rice in town.
In Olympic Village: Agua for a fun dinner by the beach.

At barcelona don´t miss the market at Las Ramblas La Boqueria, very busy with local people and tourits, great experience.
