Public Question Asked by Dana about Barcelona
We have a total of 8 days in Spain... arriving in Barcelona first. We are looking at two options... one, to spend a short time in barcelona
then, go to Costa Brava (Girona, Port-LLigat have been recommended) OR, would you suggest flying to Bilbao and exploring that area for a few days, then heading down to Madrid to fly out.

The costa Brava it is so nice . The city of Girona it is wonderful all medieval and then like towns like Palamos, Roses, Empuries, Tossa and others are just very nice to visit.
the gastroomy from that area it is very good with a lot of fish and see food.
In barcelona you would need 3 days . In one day you could visit the architecture from Gaudi with casa Batllo, Mila, Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. Another day for the old town with the Picasso museum , food markets... and another day for Montjuic, Tibdabo , and other museums.
Thanks and best regards,

I don't know about Bilbao or Madrid, sorry. They're not in my area and I've only been there once when I was a child. There is a lot to see in Barcelona, and the Costa Brava area and Girona offer a lot of interesting places as well, both in the city and the countryside. If you like historical places, that would definitely be a good option.

BOTH ARE GOOD OPTIONS. BILBAO OFFERS THE OLD TOWN AND THE GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM, BUT BARCELONA NEEDS AT LEAST 3 DAYS, AND TO VISIT THE COSTA BRAVA ANOTHER TWO OR THREE. GO TO FIGUERES FOR THE DALI MUSEUM, TO GIRONA (JEWISH QUARTER), PALS, TOSSA, AND OTHER MEDIEVAL CITYS, CADAQUES AND OTHER SECLUDED BEACHES AND FISHERMAN VILLAGES OR EVEN GO TO THE MONTSERRAT MOUNTAIN, MAGICAL PLACE WITH A THOUSAND YEARS OLD MONASTERY.
