I think that train is better than plane, both airports of each city are outside and the train station are downton. The trains are high speed machines, modern and comfortable, you would like to buy the tickets on line at http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/index.html

I agree with both of them. First it is a high speed train, then you get to the city itself and do not forget the check in. Without doubt the high speed train, AVE, it is the best choice.

Hi
Well the best way to connect the two cities is by train as it is faster .Moreover, when disebarking they are no delays like by plane.

The fastest train is 2 h 38' and you don't loose time in the checking.

The fastest way would be the plane and then a taxi to the hotel.
The train it is also very nice. The AVE leaves from Barcelona city center and arrives into Madrid city center.
Both options would be very nice. My suggestion would be to check both prices: plaen and train and then decide.

train
Answered by Ines , Barcelona, Spain
The train (called AVE) is faster than the plane because it leaves you in the heart of the city. It is usually a but more expensive than the plane but if you book it in advance you'll find good deals.

Train is comfortable because you don't need to ride out of town to get to an airport and you don't waste time checking-in. However, it is true the train is relatively expensive and it's quite easy to find online airfares that are much better than the train.
