- Sam Wellers is a Bass pub near the Theatre Royal. Daily specials give variety to regulars, but there is a lot to choose from on their standard menu. Sandwiches, meat platters and savoury pies. There are also veggie selections, including an excellent lasagne. They even offer a choice of three different 'Ploughman's lunches', and delicious desserts start at just £1.95. People-watchers will love this place and at the first sight of traditional British rain the window seats fill up! There is a good non-smoking area and food is served until 9pm.
