Description:
- Because it is situated in a turning about half way up Lansdown Hill, guests can be assured of a pretty fair view of the city from the front windows. Parking, and the reception area are at the front of the hotel; the fact that there are superb gardens at the rear is hardly noticeable. Built in Georgian times, the Lansdown Grove has been renovated in recent times to something approaching its past elegance when it was, so legend has it, the first hotel in Bath. A lift is available for those unable to manage the stairs. It is perfectly feasible to walk down Lansdown Hill into the centre of the city. For the less energetic it is advised that they take a taxi-cab back up.
