Description:
- The Plaines has low ceilings and large fireplaces. You can almost imagine its Puritan or Cavalier owner in times long past. Rooms are excellently appointed, all are en suite with tea and coffee making facilities. There are ground floor facilities for the disabled or those with mobility problems. Although this is only a bed and breakfast establishment, it has the good fortune to have two excellent eating facilities within walking distance and is, in fact, right opposite the famous George Inn with its black and white timbering and overhanging floors. Discounts are offered on stays exceeding three nights. These do not necessarily include weekends. Please note that The Plaines is closed over the Christmas period.
