Upper Town
The area that is sometimes referred to as Bath's Upper Town embodies what many will think of as quintessential Bath. It is home to some of the city's finest treasures namely the amazing Royal Crescent and Circus – Georgian streets unlike any others you will have ever seen due to their amazing curves and elegant facades. The Assembly Rooms can also be found in this neighbourhood and is worth visiting for a glimpse into the world of some of the past's most elegant social events.
The cushion between The Royal Crescent, Circus and Bath city centre is the glorious Royal Victoria Park, which is a pleasure to explore whatever time of year thanks to its Botanical Garden, Great Dell, play area and golf facilities.
There is also a wealth of shopping and eating options in this calm area including the elegant Marlborough Tavern, Margret's Buildings and its shops, galleries and bistros. The popular Circus restaurant and café is also a great choice for coffee, lunch or your evening meal.
