Wife of Bath (The)

Description:

  • Another of Bath's hidden treasures, The Wife Of Bath can be found hidden below pavement level just a short walk from the train station. The cuisine is well-cooked and plentiful. Before you dine, make sure that you are hungry... very hungry. Each serving could feed a family for a week and it is a rare diner that manages to clear his plate and have room for the tempting choice of desserts on offer. The food is of the good, honest, hearty type and will not disappoint you. The menu is always changing but expect to find lasagne, fish or chilli as well as a few vegetarian options. The staff positively expect you to ask for a 'doggy bag' so don't be too shy to ask.
