Simon's Art Exhibition

Description:

  • Simon is a homeless man who has spent the last five years sleeping rough outside the Abbey. He spent his days drawing childlike images to amuse himself and displayed them on the pavement. His pictures have now been recognised by leading experts as examples of true art. They have a naive quality reminiscent of early aboriginal paintings and have taken the art world by storm. His still life entitled "A Pint of Beer and Cider" has been featured in an exhibition at the Tate Britain. Commissions from businesses and private collectors are pouring in, but Simon declares that fame will not change him. He can usually be found, rain or shine, outside the Abbey displaying his own unique works for all to see.
