The higher elevations provide cool summer breezes enjoyed by swimmers, sunbathers, anglers, boaters, picnickers and hikers. The nearby Beaver Pond Campground is a popular overnight destination. Lake Welch Beach is open year-round with winter months attracting ice fishermen and snowmobilers. Pets are not permitted in the Lake Welch Beach area.
