Description:
This is our favorite restaurant in Beaufort, a spot whose ambience and attitude put us in mind of Scandinavia. That's hardly surprising, because the bearded owner is an émigré from Sweden who feels comfortable in the South Carolina lowlands after years of life at sea. Some folks just go to the bar to sample tapas: miniature portions of tempura shrimp, fried scallops, stuffed peppers, and at least 50 other items. Menu items might include rich cream of mussel and shrimp soup, filet "black and white" (filets of beef and pork served with béarnaise sauce), duck with orange sauce, and a meltingly tender Wiener schnitzel. Everything is served in stomach-stretching portions.

Excellent Food and Service
-
Relaxed dining that is a step up from sloppy beach wear. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned the next night.

The food here is wonderful - never had a bad meal. Love to order the tapas and share with a crowd. IF you leave hungry it's your own fault. Service has always been friendly...
