Description:
Even in this expensive town, you can find an excellent, affordable Provençal bistro. Despite its relatively low prices, La Pignatelle prides itself on the fresh ingredients in its robust cuisine. Specialties include mushroom-stuffed ravioli with truffled cream sauce, succulent soupe de poissons from which the kitchen has labored to remove the bones, cassoulet of mussels, monkfish steak garnished with olive oil and herbs, fricassee of sea bass with shrimp, and petite friture du pays, which incorporates small fish with old Provençal traditions.
