    • In December 2009 a very good thing happened for the citizens of Sombor, a mall called Roda Centar was opened in the center of the town, becoming a very unique place in Sombor. The best way to explain how revolutionary this was for the people of Sombor is by using the fact that it is the first building with an escalator ever to be built in the town. The mall consists of 5 levels, with the parking lot being the first level located under ground. On the second level, which is the first one you get to if you are on foot, there is a Roda Market, an exchange office and a pharmacy. On the third level there are more stores, mainly for clothes (baby and adult) and a café. On the fourth level is a store called Merkator, in which you can find all the necessary items for your house/apartment, an optician, and a shoe store. On the last level there is a night club (that works during the day, too) called "View". The club got its name because of the fantastic view of Sombor you can see while being on the roof. I added the Roda Centar as a favorable place mainly because of the Roda Market on the first floor (or the second level, as I called it before) which is a store with the most affordable prices in Sombor. The other stores in the mall (ones with the clothes, shoes...) are usually expensive comparing to most of the stores in the town, probably because of their strategic location, and represent places for wealthier people.
