Extremely affordable, this Beijing corner pub sits on the end of a small street near Sanlitun Village and you could walk right past it if you weren't looking for it. Despite this, the staff are quick and witty, the decor is plain and the long wooden benches make it a great place for big groups.At 20rmb a beer and less for mixed drinks, the prices literally can't be beat anywhere near the Village. The music is decent and the pub attracts a mix of locals and expats, though few tourists make it that far down the dingy side alley to discover it.
In summer, the street is crowded with outdoor seating, kebab shops and other food and snack vendors. Smuggler's moves outdoors as well and it affords the perfect vantage point of the street.
