  • Beijing has a decent supply of delicious barbecue restaurants. With finder-licking-good entrees that will satiate even the most discerning of BBQ connoisseurs. From American to British, European and Chinese, there is a BBQ joint in Beijing to suit your tastes.

Tim's Texas BBQ is, perhaps, the foremost in Beijing for American-style BBQ. You'll get ribs, brisket, meatloaf, burgers and much more at Tim's-- all done to the highest Texan standard. The prices are a bit high, but when your plate (shaped like the state of Texas, by the way) arrives, you'll be shocked at the amount of food piled on your plate.

For Asian-style BBQ check out the Hot Bean Cooperative where chicken wings BBQed over the open flame are the specialty. The sides are delicious as well, but people come from all over the city for the BBQ wings. Ai Jiang Shan is another Asian-influenced BBQ place, where you'll find flame-cooked meats in delicious, juicy sauces.

Latin BBQ at Latin Grillhouse, where your meat arrives having been slow-cooked in spices for hours and hours. The food is delicious, delicate and yet hardy. You simply can't go wrong with slow-cooked BBQ.

There are several bar and grill restaurants in Beijing that do excellent BBQ on some dishes, though the focus is more on steaks, burgers and the standards for a bar and grill. Union, The Bar and Grill, Pullman and All Star are all in this category. If you love BBQ but your mate doesn't, these are smart options so your friend will find something they enjoy on the menu as well.
