  • So you want to hit the town tonight in Dong Cheng District?-- Good choice! This area is home to many chill and relaxing bars and pubs, wine bars, cafes and small lounges. Here, you'll find the perfect blend of relaxation, fun and music. No loud dance parties, over-the-top excitement or raves for you. No, Dong Cheng serves up a different kind of fun, it serves up conversation.

Outside the norm for Dong Cheng district, Vics and Zeta are dance clubs that will wow you, wipe you out and leave you exhausted. Here you can dance the night away or sit on the sidelines while others do just that. Drinks are mid-range and the atmosphere is always go, go go!

For a more relaxing pace, head to Paddy O'Sheas' one of Beijing's only authentic Irish pubs. You'll find events on several nights a week, or else just sit, listen to the great music while you enjoy a draft beer and good company.

Pass by Bar and Ned's, on Nanluoguxiang, offer access to a different kind of night on the town. You can hear the person you are talking to at these bars, and you'll enjoy the atmosphere nestled back in a traditional hutong setting. The drinks are mixed by experts and the decor makes you want to stay longer than you probably should.
